Thesis Work

Never-Ending

What would your life be like without all of the obstacles that you experience every day?

This current body of large-scale abstract paintings is created with acrylic paint, melted crayon, pouring medium and acrylic ink on canvas. The paintings are meant to represent three different consciousness; the sub-conscious, pre-conscious and conscious. The elements of texture, color and movement had a huge impact while each work was being created. With each addition to the series, the surfaces received further attention, detail and thought.

These abstract surfaces can be visualized as a massive ocean of artistic knowledge that has been building up in my mind ever since my birth. The paintings represent my own personal happiness, sadness, success, failures and experiences throughout my entire life. Furthermore, the work reflects the continuous growth of my conscious and subconscious being. Not only am I growing as a human being, but also as an artist. This body of work is never ending because I am constantly evolving.
